2Corinthians 7:10
For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, not to be regretted; but the sorrow of the world produces death.
(True repentance is not a temporary change, it's a lasting change. God is never mocked, as we will reap what we sow. Our sorrow, if it's godly, produces a fruit of righteousness that is worthy of repentance; anything short of that is just talking. If "I'm sorry" is not validated by redeeming acts of righteousness, we don’t understand the grace of God & we're only fooling ourselves.
fruit produced in the life of the believer, as a way of life, is proving something. So, what is your life producing?)
