From the recording His Hop Happenings
Rob Redeemed
is an artist/song writer out of Saint Louis, Missouri. With the release of his first studio project, “Redeemed Obedient Believer”, Rob takes listeners on a journey of redemption—his own redemption. “The whole project is a living testimony”, Rob explains. The project hits on points such as his struggle with pornography as he grew up and into adulthood (the song “Open Doors” details this battle) as well as his rise and fall in the church (“Confessions of Sins”explains further). “I never want to come off like I’m saved and I don’t have any issues”.
Rob holds true to this with the lead single of the project with the song, “Carry My Weight”. “As an artist, my purpose for doing music is to impact lives - not to just have people bobbing their heads. I want people to really feel were I’m coming from as I pour out my heart on a track. If one person turns from the wrong path and repents, then in my eyes it’s a platinum album. I'm about impacting lives. My sound and delivery are often compared to artists such as Slim Thug and Bun B. But I feel what sets me apart from another artists is I’m willing to put myself out there so that the next man or woman can learn from my mistakes and not make the same ones. ‘I walk it like I talk it, I spit it how I live it’, is a quote that I stand on. This is not a game for me, it’s my lifestyle.
Never will I claim to be perfect. I am progressing. I give God the glory for all he has done for me and I will continue to spread the word of God through my music in order to impact lives”. Rob Redeemed holds no cards as he puts it all on the line for listeners to connect with him. Having already performed/ministered at numerous venues across the nation, Rob Redeemed is letting us know what he stands for.
