, We’ve been witnessing a massive shift in the landscape of Christian music over the last few years, but nobody could have predicted this crossover. R&B singer, songwriter, and TV personality Brooke Valentine is officially a Christian artist by signing with Miles Minnick’s Glo label.
“This for our day ones,” said Miles Minnick. “They ain’t see this coming, Brooke.”
“Day ones. They didn’t see it coming. I didn’t see it coming. God saw it coming,” said Valentine.
Miles exclaimed, “God did! God did.”
“One thing I do know is God’s hand, His sovereign hand, is on the movement,” Minnick added during a celebratory dinner, emphasizing that the emergence of a dedicated Christian R&B space is happening “out of nowhere” to anchor gifts that have been hidden from the church for far too long.
Valentine exploded onto the scene in 2005 with her single “Girlfight,” featuring Lil Jon and Big Boi. The track landed in the Top 25 of the Billboard Hot 100 off the debut album, Chain Letter. She later became a prominent main cast member on VH1’s hit reality television series Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood.
The seeds for this signing were planted last year when Valentine teamed up with Miles Minnick on his 2025 album Via Dolorosa. She lent her vocal prowess to the track “New Birth (The Altar)” alongside Transformation Worship.
