They had been baptized and married in that church and were in full-time ministry there — so walking away meant being leaderless, churchless, and isolated, with nothing but Christ and their family.

Chris reframes starting over as ownership, not failure — the idea behind his song “Reset.” Now 36, homeschooling four kids, and chasing a goal of releasing 24 songs in a year, he’s living proof that it’s never too late to begin again. He’s transparent that music doesn’t pay the bills yet, and that faith some days “feels more like drowning.” But his faith in Jesus, he says, has never been stronger.
