DEECO Enterprises, LLC has officially released its debut feature film, Yesterday Today Forever, now streaming on Amazon Prime and Apple TV.

The movie offers a modern-day reimagining of the Apostle Peter’s denial of Jesus Christ and his journey toward redemption, delivering the Gospel message through a contemporary hip-hop lens.

The Plot

The film follows Pete (played by Curtis Nelson II), a strong-willed man dealing with the unresolved trauma of losing his closest friend. Having separated from his wife, Pete enters therapy to process his grief. As he uncovers a dangerous plot, Pete must risk his life to continue spreading the Good News. The story creates a direct biblical parallel, ultimately revealing that Lucius Rouser IV portrays Pete’s lost friend, Jesus Christ.

The film was written by Domingo Guyton and Siddeeqah Powell and directed by Ty Manns (A Question of Faith).

“I pray people will see themselves through the characters on the screen and note that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8),” says writer and producer Domingo Guyton. “Although the times are different, His Word never changes.”

The Music

A major focal point for the hip-hop gospel film is its massive musical backdrop. The original score was created by Thomas Dawson, Jr., the Music Director for the Grammy Award-winning group The Commodores. The project features a 35-song original motion picture soundtrack, which is currently available on vinyl and all major streaming platforms.
