“I’m a Christian musician who dabbles with multiple different genres,” goodwill. stated. “My mission is to make Jesus famous. I want to plant seeds and point others to the hope and salvation that is found only in the Lord. God changed my life in huge ways, and I wanted to go glorify him with my music, bringing others to his life change and glory in the process.”

This drive directly fueled his latest collaborative track, “START WITH US,” featuring fellow artist Griffin.

“The entire song let the listener hear the desires that resided in the hearts of Griffin and I,” goodwill. explained. “We knew the Lord wanted to work and change lives. We also knew that people played a significant role in his ministry. This song was a cry to the Lord to start revival and a movement of salvation across the globe through us and our lives.”

The timing of the release matched a need among their peers. Both creators watched people their own age struggle heavily and hunger for genuine hope.

“We felt this song was a perfect moment to express our desire to be used to reach the lost,” goodwill. said. “We also wanted to inspire others to go push the gospel further as we got closer to the return of Jesus.”

Personal Struggle Shines Through Lyrics

The honesty behind the lyrics came directly from goodwill.’s internal battles and his deep empathy for the hurting. He understood the crushing weight of hopelessness.

“I knew what it felt like to struggle,” goodwill. shared. “I knew what it was like when you felt as if there’s no hope. We all did. I knew how these lost people felt, and it burdened me. It broke my heart. So I wanted to go full on with boldness and eagerness to give people the hope and joy that we had in Christ.”

Beyond emotional hurdles, the artist faced intense spiritual warfare throughout his journey.

“I encountered battles with demonic forces,” goodwill. revealed. “When hell saw God’s hand on anyone, they did whatever they could to get them off track. I saw it firsthand. My verse talked about keeping my eyes on Jesus and how he adopted me into sonship with him in the midst of fighting spiritual battles. I loved using music to remind myself and the forces of hell that Jesus already won and how they had no power over those who the Lord brought home.”

This perspective grew from a seed planted a long time ago. goodwill. wrote his very first songs back in the sixth grade. Over the years, his desire to reach the lost stayed true, but his artistic lens widened significantly.

“My vision got bigger and grew in depth,” goodwill. reflected. “It was so much simpler when I was younger. Now I still wanted the same thing, but in more detail. I hoped that relationships mended, people healed, people got saved, and that people found hope through my music. My intentionality and drive grew as well since first making music in sixth grade.”

Starting a Fire and Looking to the Future

“START WITH US” spoke directly to a generation of young adults wrestling with fear, heavy pressure, and questions about their ultimate purpose. goodwill. aimed to shatter the illusion of inadequacy that often plagued young believers.

“I hoped that the young adults listening to this song walked away with the encouragement and truth that they could be used to do big things for the Kingdom,” goodwill. emphasized. “As our generation became one of the most spiritually hungry generations in America, I wanted them to be inspired to go and be the light to the hungry.”

He rejected the idea that young people could not make an immediate impact in their local spaces.

“That was a lie from hell,” goodwill. declared. “The Lord did bigger things through us than we could ever imagine or think of. When the youth burned on fire for Jesus, revival was not far behind. That was something my Dad and many of my mentors emphasized over the past couple of years of my life.”

Looking ahead, the artist pointed toward a shift for his upcoming catalog. He drew heavy inspiration from the band Surfaces and fell in love with their style.

“I started to get into more of this Surfaces type, summer, Indie Pop,” goodwill. teased. “I listened to so much Surfaces, and I loved their music, so I got a lot of inspiration from them. Then I started to touch and get into all sorts of other genres as well, and it was so much fun.”

He also set his sights on major collaborative milestones within the Christian music scene.

“I wanted to make a song with Hulvey or Forrest Frank,” goodwill. concluded. “Both served as a huge inspiration to my music and my heart posture behind my music. Their music did a lot for my walk with Jesus. I felt super pumped for the future. I could not wait to see what the Lord did with it and where he took me.”
