Dante' Pride, a rising force in Christian Hip Hop, will be featured on the His Hop Radio podcast on October 6th at 6 PM. Born and raised in North Alabama and now residing in Huntsville, AL, Dante' has experienced a profound transformation in his spiritual journey. Introduced to Christian Hip Hop at age eight, he started recording and writing music by 12. Growing up as a preacher’s kid ("PK") in the Bible Belt, Dante' witnessed traditional church practices but found himself caught up in "religion," struggling to connect with Christ on a personal level.
In his teenage years, Dante' awakened to the difference between religion and relationship with God, leading him to release his highest streamed single, "Can I Turn Up In Your Church?"—a bold track that sparked controversy among many traditional churches and family members. Despite the pushback, this song became a turning point in Dante's life, helping him break free and inspire others to do the same.
Dante' Pride's music and message have taken him to major stages across the world, including performances at The Colorado Arts Festival, Winterfest, and The Alabama Youth Conference. He has graced renowned venues such as The Orion Amphitheater, The BJCC, and The LeConte Center. Sharing the stage with notable acts like Maverick City, Elevation Worship, Fearless LA, and Kierra Sheard, Dante' has become a powerful voice in the world of worship and Christian hip-hop.
Dante' has also made waves beyond music, being featured on the "Get Up with Erica" radio show and Oprah Winfrey's OWN network. Married to his wife of four years, Loreal Pride, they are praying for their miracle baby while continuing to impact lives with their ministry.
