BigBreeze (Markel) performed his song “The Body (Who)” on the latest episode of Bless the Mic. Then he answered some questions for us.
Who is BigBreeze?
From the west side of Atlanta. Sold out for Jesus. Real trench baby. Real Christ follower, you know. Ready to step about whatever.
Tell me about the verses you performed on Bless the Mic.
We got this new thing called “The Body (Who) (feat. Parris Chariz & Aha Gazelle) [Remix],” basically about just speaking to the church, speaking to the people of God, and just like, let’s not judge the world just because people don’t look like us or come from where we come from or whatever your background is. Everybody can follow Jesus, find Christ.
What is one of your favorite freestyles that you’ve ever heard?
Maybe like a Young Thug freestyle or something because he’s crazy.
How do you approach rapping in this setting of a live mic and cameras?
I just take it there; we just take it to the top. You want to give it all you got. Want the people to feel how you feel. You want the emotions to be there. Everybody just act kind of like they’re there with you in the present even though it’s on camera and all that.
What’s the biggest thing you’re going to accomplish in 2026?
Man, we’re changing the name. We’re just going to leave it there.
