Rua Young brought energy and personality to the 2026 GMA Dove Awards red carpet. The rising artist shared his top Christian rap influences before taking a passionate run into immersive escape rooms.

“Escape rooms…it’s a different universe when there’s an actor working,” Young shared. “If you only have one room, it’s not the same experience. You got to have more than one room…When it’s immersive, it’s a total different experience. We need more in the US. In Korea, it’s a crazy thing to have, with different actors, rooms moving around. I just love escape rooms.”

Musical Foundations and “Clay”

Young turned his focus back to music while shouting out culture leaders like J.Monty, nobigdyl., Jon Keith, KB, and Hollyn. He briefly spoke about his single, “Clay,” with Jon Keith that dropped October 16.

“It’s about us being the pottery, God being the potter, you know?” Young explained.
