Don Ready brought his charisma to the 2026 GMA Dove Awards red carpet, trading laughs about music’s unpredictable releases. Looking back on his discography, Ready opened up about tracks he initially doubted that eventually became massive fan favorites.

Discussing his catalog, Ready revealed his initial hesitation around one of his biggest career-defining tracks.

“Y’all know that I didn’t think ‘2 Serious‘ was a hit when we dropped it,” Ready laughed. “I didn’t think it was going to do…I didn’t want to release it…All these million streams later, I love it now!”

While he joked that he rarely dislikes his own work, Ready did point out deep-catalog cuts like “Acceleration” as mixes he personally could have done without.
