20-time GRAMMY® Award-winning legend Kirk Franklin released his new single “This Time” featuring GloRilla. The track arrives via Uptown Records. It marks the lead-up to Franklin’s fourteenth solo album, I Am What I Am, dropping October 30th. Fans can now stream the single and pre-order the album.

“This Time” interpolates Mandrill’s song “Children Of The Sun.” Joyous horns and slick handclaps set a fast tempo. Franklin’s high energy drives a soulful, steeple-sized chorus. Memphis rapper GloRilla delivers upbeat bars and sharp wordplay. The track showcases GloRilla’s musical versatility over the gospel beat.

Franklin previously launched the album track “Thank You For Everything” featuring Karen Clark Sheard. That song became the fastest-growing record on Gospel radio. Franklin performed the track live at the 41st Annual Stellar Gospel Music Awards. BET Her debuted the song’s official music video.

Variety reported Franklin’s new partnership with Uptown Records. The deal joins Uptown with Franklin’s Fo Yo Soul Entertainment and TRIBL Music Group.
