You know the person. Maybe it’s you. The one with the God-given idea they’ve been “putting together” for months — the one that keeps stalling because the pieces are just too hard to assemble. Marcel Patillo says that gap, between the vision and the build, is exactly where most believers get stuck. And he thinks the excuse just got taken away.

On the latest Faith & AI Show, producer and creative Marcel Patillo — raised in the Patillo family that helped shape modern Christian music, and now the artist and builder behind I Am Able — makes a case that lands somewhere between the fear and the hype: Christians are called to lead in new spaces, not wait around for the world to lead them there. The key, he says, is to stack every new tool against the standard of Scripture and move.

In this conversation, Marcel gets into:

• Why he built his entire website with no coding background — and the “constellation” idea most artists could never pull off alone
• The difference between trading your time for money and trading your skill for it
• What “learn to relearn” means, and why he calls it the most important skill you can have
• How he runs marketing for three international companies in about 15 hours a week
• The one question he says you have to answer before you ever open a single AI tool

But underneath all the practical talk is something far more personal: his new single, “High,” born out of the hardest season of his life — a time he couldn’t see God and could only pray to be pulled out of it.
