Parris Chariz has officially signed with Reflection Music Group (RMG). It’s a label founded by Derek Minor and Doc Watson. Parris joins Derek, Canon, 350, and Byron Juane. He just dropped his first full-length album under the label: The World Is Watching.
Parris has a unique story, and it bleeds into his music. He was raised in Detroit, shaped by Tulsa, and is currently based in Nashville. He brings all three worlds into this project.
Inside ‘The World Is Watching’
The album sets a serious tone immediately. The opening track, “Tempted 2,” anchors the entire project. It tackles heavy themes:
-
The constant pull of the streets.
-
The tragedy of kids dying for online clout.
-
A hard-earned refusal to glorify violence.
Parris balances temptation with conviction. It is the sound of a man telling the truth about his past without letting it dictate his future.
The Verdict
The World Is Watching does not try to clean up the corner. Instead, it provides a witness from inside it. For Parris, faith and the streets are not opposites. They are the force that drives the music.
The World Is Watching is available now on all streaming platforms.
