You may know him as the sharp-tongued lyricist Knaladeus, but get ready for a new side. Friends With Faces, a sublabel of Infiltrate Music, has signed eddieM, his singing alter ego.
“My real name is Eddie. Last name starts with an M. In my hip-hop rap journey, you know my story to a degree. eddieM, it was really just born from me always experimenting with just full-out singing songs,” he said. “I had a lot of music building up, and I was able to start a dialogue with Justin at Rapzilla and tell him my heart. ‘Yo man, I got this stuff. I’m kind of sitting on this type of music, it’s not rap, it’s not hip hop’. I wasn’t really thinking about the fact that he had already started a label, an indie label.”
His new single, “be still” was released on June 19th. It’s the first song on his upcoming UnReleased EP. Listen to the track here.
“Be Still” is a retro R&B-inspired track exploring the weight of loss and a longing for heaven. It represents his first official venture into the R&B and Soul spaces after years of rapping and producing hip-hop.

Eddie was looking for support and freedom for his new music. His label Menace Movement focuses on his hip-hop music as Knaladeus. Friends With Faces allows him to try some other things.
“eddie and I were having a deep convo about both of our journeys and music. After sharing things I’ve created, he started to show me some ‘oddball’ songs that he didn’t know what to do with,” said Friends With Faces owner Justin Sarachik. “I told him I knew just the place to release it…with me. That’s how we got the ball rolling, and after sitting on these songs for about a year, I’m excited for you all to see a different level of artistry from him.”
“Knaladeus is still putting out music,” said eddieM. “I’m still going to be rapping, from time to time, as I always do through Menace Movement, which is the label I am on, and a proud. That’s my family.”
His next single, “Posted Notes,” releases on Friday, June 26th. Listen here.
About eddieM
Raised in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, by a DJ and emcee father, eddieM was immersed in the cultures of soul, jazz, and hip-hop from a young age, writing his first rhymes at age three and producing by 13. After sharpening his technical skills on the underground circuit in Orlando, Florida, he built a reputation for delivering razor-sharp lyricism, gritty storytelling, and deep theological reflection over authentic, boom-bap production.
Unlike the trap and melodic styles dominant in modern Christian rap, he leans heavily into a classic, soul-driven aesthetic. That background helped him in his exploration of music as eddieM. His music features transparent introspection, frequently tackling complex topics like fatherhood, internal spiritual battles, and the daily walk of faith.
