Time:  Evening shift, beginning at 2:40 PM  

Event Overview:
On Election Day 2024, we had the honor of participating in *DJ's at the Pole*, a national initiative aimed at making voting a more enjoyable experience for the American public. Mr. His Hop was hired to DJ at Burkholder Middle School, providing a musical experience that encouraged community engagement, celebrated democracy, and supported voter turnout.

Set-Up and Location:
Upon arriving at Burkholder Middle School, Mr. His Hop began setting up his DJ equipment near the stairs, approximately 100 feet from the polling area. However, after polling officials kindly informed him of the official boundaries, he moved his setup to the designated spot in the parking lot behind the yellow cones. Although this required some re-setup, it turned out to be an excellent location directly in front of the main entrance, allowing for a prime position to engage voters as they arrived.

Music and Atmosphere:
Once fully set up, the music began and quickly added an energetic and welcoming atmosphere to the polling place. Mr. His Hop spun a mix of patriotic songs, fun old-school tracks, and of course, Christian hip-hop that kept the crowd entertained. The music brought smiles, thumbs-up, and waves from voters and passersby, creating a positive and inviting experience that encouraged everyone to participate in this crucial day for democracy.

Voter Encouragement:
Throughout the event, Mr. His Hop used the microphone to energize the crowd, encouraging everyone to text friends and family to get out and vote. His message resonated with the spirit of the day, fostering unity and excitement in support of democracy.

 Family Participation:
After school let out, Mr. His Hop’s wife and children joined him at the event, bringing an extra level of enthusiasm to the gathering. His wife took over the DJ controls, hyping up the crowd as Mr. His Hop went inside to cast his vote, adding a powerful family-oriented dynamic to the experience.

 Reflections:
This was an incredibly memorable and historic day for our family and the His Hop Nation team. To be able to bring music, joy, and encouragement to voters while participating in the democratic process was truly an honor. As we move forward with new leadership in our country, we continue to pray for Jesus’s guidance, healing, and prosperity over our land.
