2819 Worship has officially released their debut single, “For Christ Alone,” in partnership with Reach Records. The highly anticipated track, which has been circulating in live worship moments and online clips, is now available on all major streaming platforms.

In support of the release, the collective dropped a live performance music video on YouTube.

“For Christ Alone” is a powerful 13-minute live recording that captures the energy and depth of a worship experience. The song centers on the message of Matthew 24:30, a sermon that founder and lead pastor Philip Anthony Mitchell spoke on for several months, which describes the Second coming of Jesus. It also draws from Colossians 1:18, declaring Jesus Christ is the head of the body, which is the church, and the “firstborn from the dead,” a title of authority and victory in resurrection, not creation. Together, these truths anchor the song’s message: Christ alone stands for us and leads the way for us, and in the end, there will be no more arguments about who was telling the truth.
