Proverbs 27:19

As in water face reflects face, so the heart of man reflects the man.

Our words & actions display what's really in our hearts.

Therefore, we must all take an inventory of our words & our actions, because, at some point, it reveals who we really are. Water, like a mirror, reflects what we physically look like, while our hearts reveals what we look like spiritually.
